Since 1971, "Médecins Sans Frontières" has been providing medical assistance to populations whose lives and health are threatened. It acts mainly in cases of armed conflict, but also in the event of epidemics, pandemics, natural disasters or exclusion from healthcare.
"Médecins Sans Frontières" is present in more than 70 countries around the world, with more than 90 medical assistance operations. It employs more than 41,000 people each year.

AuditionSolidarité raises awareness among musicians about hearing protection in France and supports disadvantaged individuals with hearing impairments.
They organize national and international missions to provide hearing aids to those in need and train teachers in schools for deaf children. The association seeks hearing professionals, donations of hearing aids and medical equipment, as well as financial contributions to support its actions.
ASPAS is an independent French organization dedicated to the conservation of wildlife and its natural habitat.
Since its foundation in 1980, the ASPAS has undertaken a multitude of actions to defend biodiversity. Their commitment is demonstrated through public awareness campaigns, legal actions to uphold laws in favor of nature, programs for the reintroduction of endangered species, ecosystem restoration projects, and many other initiatives.
Their work is based on a profound conviction: the protection of nature is essential to ensure a sustainable future for all forms of life on Earth.

For the first donation of 2024, Victor has chosen to support epilepsy research through the Foundation for Epilepsy Research (FFRE).
This organization grants research funding for original projects presented by epileptologists and researchers, covering various aspects such as genetics, pharmacoresistant epilepsies, and associated disorders.
The FFRE is also involved in communication initiatives, events, and publications aimed at informing the public, challenging preconceived notions, and raising funds. The foundation provides support to patients and their families by guiding, listening, and informing, while advocating for the rights of individuals with epilepsy in society.
We are proud to support the Secours Animaux Guadeloupe association this month. Established in 2010 in Guadeloupe, this dedicated organization is committed to rescuing, caring for, and finding loving homes for the unfortunate dogs and cats on the island.
This initiative holds special significance for us, as our colleague François, who chose this cause, has personally adopted his companion through this association.

This association, dedicated to the practice of contemporary music, has been active for over 30 years in Roubaix and the surrounding region. It promotes musical learning, project creation, and the joy of listening, emphasizing essential values such as equality, collective spirit, and respect for cultures.
The association Des Étoiles dans la Merhas the primary goal of funding research on glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, in search of significant advancements in the treatment of this disease.
Concurrently, it provides valuable support to families affected by glioblastoma while raising public awareness of the crucial importance of research on this condition.

This month, Thibaut has chosen to support the "Sur les bancs de l'école" association, which operates in a village at the heart of our beloved Hauts-de-France region. This association came into existence at a critical moment when the village's only school was on the verge of closure.
The dedicated volunteers engage in various cultural activities related to music and theater, and the proceeds from these activities are entirely dedicated to financing school trips, acquiring educational materials, providing academic support, and many other initiatives. Their goal is to keep the school afloat while reducing the financial burden on the community.
KaraFun Group is proud this month to support Auxiliaires des Aveugles association, which connects blind and visually impaired individuals with volunteers ready to assist them, known as Auxiliaires.
The "Auxiliaires des Aveugles" undertake various missions, including guidance, shopping assistance, administrative support, exam aid for students, and home visits. Moreover, they accompany blind individuals in various activities, such as leisurely walks and cultural or sporting outings. The association's work provides valuable presence and moral support to each person in need, fostering mutual esteem.
The Brain Institute is a research institute dedicated to studying the brain and spinal cord. Its main objective is to conduct research on various neurological conditions such as brain tumors, strokes, multiple sclerosis, as well as psychiatric disorders including depression and obsessive-compulsive disorders.
Many of us are directly affected by these diseases, either through personal experience, our relationships, or our families, which is why this cause was so important to Pierre.

Amnesty International wants to fight together, to constantly achieve victories, one after the other. Because we do win…but it is not known enough.
Amnesty International was born from a first victory: the release of prisoners of conscience. This first victory was the spark that ignited a movement that now brings together over 10 million people in 70 countries.

Food aid has become a necessity for a lot of people, and it becomes a reality for more and more. Moreover, to eat one’s fill is a key to getting out of poverty. This is the reason Alexis chose to give to the association Les Restos du Coeur which acts in providing meals to the most destitute.
L'Échappée is a collective project to fight against sexist and sexual violence.
The collective offers a place in which to be heard and support by a pluridisciplinary team including doctors, psychologists or legal workers amongst others. Professionals can also attend training on these subjects.

The Abbé Pierre Foundation helps to house the underprivileged. More than 900 projects per year to combat housing worries amongst the poor, The Abbé Pierre Foundation works daily alongside the poorest to help them find decent housing conditions in order to project towards the future.
The "Noël des Déshérités" charity was founded in 1946 to help orphans after the war.
Based in the North of France, it helps families in need as identified by local charities.
During the Christmas period, it organizes donations of new toys and sweets, which are distributed to disadvantaged children in the region. Today the association is part of the "Fonds de dotation de La Voix du Nord", which covers a large part of its operating costs, allowing all donations to be devoted to children and families in need.
SOS Villages d‘Enfants is dedicated to taking care of brothers and sisters that are facing family issues. In France, the association takes care of children that they are entrusted to by Child Welfare as part of a legal measure. In the world, they take care of orphaned or abandoned children.
The vocation of the association is to safeguard the fraternal ties so that siblings can live under the same roof.

Le Souffle du Nord is an association born in the North of France. Its mission is to get together citizens, companies, associations and communities around innovative and collective projects to offer new solutions to take up the challenges specific to our territory.

Since its creation in 2005, the 30 millions d'Amis foundation has aimed at watching over and fighting for animal well-being, from the abolition of hunting and bullfighting, to the end of animal trafficking or animal experimentation.
30 Millions d'Amis also helps many animal shelters by ensuring, for instance, that vet expenses are taken care of. Let's not forget the actions taken against abandonment and mistreatment throughout the world, as well as for improvements in the laws and of the status of the animals.

"La Ligue contre le cancer" is an association that relies on the generosity of the public and the commitment of its volunteers and employees. They come to the aid of people affected by cancer thanks to training provided by an accredited school. The federation is composed of 103 departmental committees throughout the country.
Julien and his family have already been able to benefit from the association's help, so it was only natural for him to return the favor.
Emmaus France is a non-profit movement that has been committed to fighting poverty and exclusion since 1949.
Today, the association federates 293 Emmaus groups in France, of various kinds depending on their activities and social project: communities, social action and housing organizations, SOS Families, integration organizations, etc. More than 30,000 people work in the movement.
With this donation and his speech at our monthly meeting, Mickael wanted to show that these precarious situations are everywhere, can turn everyone's life upside down at any moment and that we must act now.
Amnesty International is an organization that fights for the defense of human rights.
It campaigns for the release of prisoners of conscience, the right to freedom of expression, and the respect of all civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights.

For nearly 40 years, ASPAS has been defending wildlife, the species considered as insignificant, voiceless, or those targeted by hunting. It has initiated more than 3,500 court suits to ensure that environmental law is respected and evolves positively.
ASPAS creates "Wildlife Reserves" where no human activity is allowed, except for contemplative walks. This label is the highest level of protection in France.
Chosen by Bart, one of the founders of the group, this donation represents his commitment to the protection of the environment.
In France, 9.2 million people live under the poverty line, which is more than 14.6% of the population. Founded in 1985 by Coluche, "Les Restos du Coeur" helps them by giving them meals, but also by helping them to find a house, a job...

"Fondation de Lille" helps people from North of France. It pays special attention to students, offering them a solidarity fund (emergency financial aid, fight against the digital divide, help in pursuing their studies).
Cedric, our Android developer, put his contribution to Z Event. Z Event is a charity stream-marathon that brings together, every year, the biggest French streamers and their community, to collect donations for a chosen cause. This year, Z Event chose "Action Contre la Faim."
In 2021 alone, more than 811 million people in the world still don’t have access to a decent level of nutrition/still don’t have enough to eat. That's why, for over 40 years, "Action Contre la Faim" has been fighting against hunger and its effects, by focusing their actions on nutrition, food security, water, hygiene, sanitation and mental health.
Thanks to donations like Cedric's, Z Event raised more than 10M euros to help fight this worthy cause.
Since 2018, the regional committee of « Handisport Hauts de France » brings together more than 136 parasports clubs affiliated with the French Parasports Federation and more than 1800 participants.
Its objective is to make sports practice accessible to people with physical, visual and auditory disabilities.
Between promoting sports in Hauts de France and training professionals in the psycho-pedagogical aspects related to disabilities, the association intervenes on many issues.

This association was created in 2018 to raise awareness for Augustine, who at a young age lost her battle with cancer. Augustine, loved music, and especially the French singer Vianney.
Wonder Augustine aims to provide information on all pediatric cancers and the difficulty it imposes on the daily lives of children and families. Unfortunately, 2,500 children and adolescents are diagnosed with cancer every year in France and the outcome is fatal for 500 of them each year. KaraFun Group is proud to support this association and sends well-wishes and hope to all the "wonder-children" and their loved ones.

For the past 170 years, the SPA has acted in favor of animals to fight against all forms of animal suffering. This association continues to advance the animal cause and helps thousands of mistreated and abandoned animals to find a new home each year. A cause that is dear to many of the animal lovers at KaraFun Group!
Ani-nounou fights against rabbit abandonment.
They rescue abandoned rabbits, give them medical treatments if needed, socialize them, educate them, and once they are ready, they look for the best families to adopt them (the selection is quit severe, not everyone can adopt!).
All members of this organization are volunteers.
In order to fund their actions, Ani-nounou also offers a pet-sitting service which allows individuals to go on vacation with a free mind.

In this trying period, we wanted to show our support to the university-affiliated hospital of Lille and thank the medical staff for all they are doing during this pandemic. The endowment fund established by the “CHU” has four major goals, namely: research and nursing innovation, improving well-being of patients and better accompanying their relatives, developing art and culture within the hospital and better preventative and education measures in healthcare.

Registered for public purpose, its goal for over a century has been the protection of all animals in the North of France. They have animal shelters in Lille and Roubaix and deals with animal rescue facilities in about 120 municipalities.
The Pasteur Institute of Lille is a private foundation recognized as a public entity since 1898, dedicated to medical research and public health.
AVSF (“Agronomists and Veterinarians Without Borders”) is a global foundation helping farmers since 1977. AVSF has been devoting themselves to farming communities threatened by exclusion and poverty. They work closely with farming, breeding and animal health experts. AVSF supports farmer initiatives by aiding in better living standards, handling natural resources in a sustainable way and participating in the development of their socio-economic territory. AVSF also defends farmer's rights and helps them to recognise affirm their role in society.
Les Restos du Coeur’s (“Restaurants of the Heart”) goal is to help the underprivileged and homeless by providing free meals and helping with social and economical integration. The association's aims to take action against poverty in all its forms.
“Solidarité Femmes Accueil” supports and/or shelters up to 3,500 women yearly who are victims of domestic violence. The group also provides phone support to women, receiving around 5,000 calls every year.
The foundation distributes up to 5,000 tons of food supplies to more than 30,000 people in economic difficulty every year.

The Foundation Mexxa, operating under the aegis of the Foundation of France (FdF), helps and supports vulnerable Mexican kids to go beyond their potential. Their mission consists in supporting and developing initiatives with local charities whose target is to improve the global development of the child in order to help him/her to build a better future. The Foundation Mexxa works on different projects which help to improve the daily lives of the kids and which motivate them to give their best. For instance, they provide scholarships for underprivileged girls, allow them to participate in child health programs and refurbish/improve childcare infrastructures.
‘Petits Princes’ (Little Princes), created in 1987, mission is to help make children and severely ill teens’ dreams come true! The association believes that a children who are given the chance to live their dreams will have all the strength to fight and overcome any illness. The medical staff of 150 hospital wards with whom the association works agrees. Dreaming helps patients to feel better on an emotional level and, sometimes, even on a physical level too.
Since its creation in 1998, the association ‘Rencontres Audiovisuelles’ (Audiovisual Meetings) has been working to promote independent audiovisual creation and digital images and in bringing awareness and educate the public to the importance of image in the Nord-Pas de Calais, France region. They support creation and tailor their actions in a geographical and social environment by leading cultural actions in the region and are behind events such as L’Hybride, Fête de l’anim’, Festival international du court métrage and the Video Mapping European Center.
The association Ascen Danse promotes performance arts and contemporary dancing. The dance festival ‘Vertical’été’, put on by the association, takes place in the heart of the fortress of Mont-Dauphin in the Vars Region. This festival and its performances are inspired by the famously historical French figure, Sébastien Vauban. On another note, the KaraFun Group Team had the opportunity to see firsthand where the summer festival is held in February 2019.
This charity intervenes to help abandoned cats, by financing health care while bringing all the love that our little furry friends deserve.
The association Louise Michel supports women in need of assistance and more specifically women who are victims of domestic violence. Amongst other things, it offers solutions like emergency shelter.
The ‘Ligue contre le cancer’ (League Against Cancer) is the first independent and activist foundation in cancer research in France. Its mission is to prevent and promote cancer screenings, provide support for patients and their families while providing financial support in public research in all sectors linked to cancerology.
The ‘Clowns de l’Espoir’ (Clowns of Hope) intervene every week in the paediatric wards to spread joy throughout hospital in the northern region of France! Hospitals aren’t your common theatres. Intervening with children, parents and nurses requires a ‘know-how’ which the charity conveys. As one mom puts it “Memories, memories… bursts of laughter and dreams, emerging unexpectedly from my daughter’s room last year while she was in the paediatric ward. Overwhelmed by worry, your charity gave me a big wave of energy.”
Benenova is an incredibly simple volunteering concept: allow anybody to volunteer according to availability. Opportunities to be 100% useful in a convivial and welcoming environment. Benenova’s dream? A society where everyone understands that they have the means to act and to change the world around them. Time to make volunteering a habit!
Midezon-Togo is a charity whose goal is to contribute to the improvement of quality of life of the Togolese people. It brings concrete assistance in the sectors of health, education, environment and culture hoping to reach fulfilment and autonomy to the Togolese people.
Planteurs Volontaires advocates for trees, through plantation projects, participatory building sites, animations and trainings all around the theme of the tree.
Its mission is to capture, sterilize, tattoo, and release stray cats back into their natural habitat where they are fed and followed by volunteers. It's an initiative that also allows to place the animal in the city but also to give back the role that is attributed to it in the ecological chain, which is that of regulating other animal populations such as rats, mice, while helping combat the proliferation of homeless cats.
